Kayla + Mark knew they wanted something epic for their engagement session, so hopping in a car for a two-hour long ride along the Allegheny Mountains was no big thing for these two adventurers. I love the idea of a destination engagement session + starting your next chapter with such a fun and memorable experience.

I have family that lives across from the entrance to Dolly Sods, so I was able to stop by for a quick visit with them as well before heading up the mountain!

It really is true when they say West Virginia is “Almost Heaven”.  Dolly Sods made for such a breathtaking backdrop! Gorgeous scenic views, a romantic setting and the rich tones of Fall most definitely made for a memorable experience.

Kayla + Mark were complete naturals in front of the camera and their love for each other shows in the photos!! I cannot wait for their wedding, next October!

The seasons are changing and my winter break from photography has begun! This mean’s I will have lots of extra time to complete tasks that usually get pushed aside during the crazy months, especially blogging, so be prepared for some visual goodness these next few months!

I am so excited to finally blog one of my favorite weddings of the year! When I first met Ben + Holly last year during their engagement session, we hit it off right away! I knew they were most certainly my ideal clients and I couldn’t wait to capture their wedding day!

Ben + Holly were seriously one of the easiest couples I have ever worked with! Speaking from a creative stand point, I cannot tell you how happy it makes us when we ask our bride/groom if they have any specific requests they are looking for and they reply with “totally up to you, we’re pretty laid back and trust your judgment”.

You’ve reviewed our portfolios, researched our styles and know our artistic vision, which means you’ve booked us for a reason. It’s so exciting to be able to let the creativity flow rather than being put in a creative box when given 50 printed sheets off of pinterest! Please don’t do that to your photographers.. I promise they will love you a whole lot more if you don’t 😉

When I showed up to start the day and saw the bridesmaid’s gold sequin dresses, I knew it was going to be a great day! We started off by doing an intimate first look shoot. Myself, my second shooter, Leslie & Rebecca + Chris with WV Motion works located a secluded area that was perfect for the first look shoot! Once in place, Holly stood and waited as Ben + their dog Daisy turned to see each other for the time. It was literally PERFECT!

I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from their GORGEOUS lakeside wedding day!

2016-10-28_0002As 2016 is quickly coming to an end, I couldn’t be happier as I sit back and reflect on all the amazing opportunities this year has brought to both my personal and business life!

First and foremost, I am a Mama to two amazing kiddos and a wife to an amazing man. Many of you may or may not know that photography is not my full time job. I work at the VA Medical Center as an IT Specialist through the week and also run my photography business, which is basically full time as well! At the beginning of the year I set a goal and was determined to stick with it! I was determined to find a balance between my personal & business life. I am so happy to say that I am thrilled with the decisions I have made in order to reach this goal!

I absolutely LOVE weddings and specializing in wedding photography! I want my brides to be 100% happy and to have my full attention throughout the entire process! A major change this year has been that I no longer offer newborn or regular family portrait sessions. I do offer a very limited amount of senior portraits and offer seasonal mini sessions throughout the holidays.

Cutting back on sessions has really allowed me the time I need to focus on wedding photography and most importantly be more present to my family.

As many of you already know, I am opening a new photography studio upstairs in the new Not Too Shabby Boutique. I am so excited to have a space to display my work, meet with potential clients, store my items and of course offer indoor seasonal mini sessions! I will not have regular studio hours and I will not be taking on regular studio sessions during wedding season. I will however, offer very limited amount of studio portrait sessions during the off season months.

Once the studio is complete, I will share images of the new place! Until then, I am thrilled to share with you some of the amazing new pieces that are currently for sale at Not Too Shabby Boutique, located on Main Street in downtown Clarksburg! Everyone head over and check it out!! The new store is beautiful!! P.S, they do ship as well!

Charlie & Morgan celebrated their wedding day on one of the hottest days in August! Forecast called for high 90’s and scattered thunderstorms throughout the day. WV summers are so unpredictable, so I wasn’t too worried about the weather. Luckily, prayers were answered and the rain held off for most of the day! They were surrounded by friends and family and celebrated at the Bridgeport Conference Center. Their wedding day was gorgeous! Here are a few favorites!2016-09-08_00012016-09-08_00022016-09-08_00182016-09-08_00152016-09-08_00052016-09-08_00082016-09-08_0007

Carley | Senior | Liberty High School | Ballet Inspired Photo Shoot | Britani Edwards Photography, West Virginia Photographer

Wedding season is among-st us and in full swing! I typically don’t take on regular sessions during this time but when one my former bride’s sisters had contacted me about her senior portraits, I couldn’t say no! I was so excited when Carley shared her ideas for a ballet inspired shoot! She wanted a city-like backdrop and I knew right where to go! This was just the first half of her session!! Carley is a senior a Liberty High School this year! She is absolutely GORGEOUS and has the personality to go with it!! Hope you enjoy just a few of my favorites from her session!! 2016-08-28_0004
